Elko County School District, in partnership with the Northeastern Nevada Museum, recently welcomed families, students, and community members to the 2026 ECSD Student Art Exhibit and Juried Art Show—an inspiring showcase of student creativity from across the district.
Held in the Barrick Gallery at the museum, the exhibit featured selected artwork from students in grades K–12, representing a wide range of mediums including drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography, and graphic arts.
The Family and Friends Reception, held April 15, offered an opportunity for students to share their work with loved ones and the community. Throughout the evening, the gallery was filled with proud smiles as students stood beside their artwork, celebrating their accomplishments and the support of their families and teachers.
Judging for middle school and high school divisions brought additional recognition to standout student artists. In the Grades 7–8 division, McKenzy Abalos (Carlin) was awarded Best of Show, while in the Grades 9–12 division, Lyka Samar (EHS) earned the top honor.

The exhibit remains open to the public through May 3, offering the community continued opportunities to experience the talent and creativity of ECSD students.
