Good afternoon, Wells Elementary Community,
The Nevada State Treasurer’s Office has invited our school to participate in a new initiative that celebrates student attendance and supports future college savings! Each month, they will award three students across Nevada in Pre-K through 5th grade who have achieved perfect attendance with a $529 College Savings Plan.
There is no cost to participate, and it’s a great way to:
Encourage consistent attendance
Reward students for their commitment
Introduce families to the value of saving early for education
Please encourage your student/students to attend school so they can be eligible for the College Savings Plan.

❤️Support the Field of Flags Project❤️

We invite you to be part of honoring our veterans by donating to help create a Field of Flags in front of our school.

Many members of our community have served our country with courage and sacrifice. For Ms. H, this project is personal—her father served in the Vietnam Conflict. Though he returned home without visible injuries, he was later affected by chemical exposure that took his life. As Ms. H shares:
“I am proud to be able to donate to the Disabled American Veterans Association (DAV) in honor of him and those who serve in our armed forces so we can enjoy the freedoms we have. It is an honor to be able to help those who have given so much, even my dad.”

✨ For every $250 donated, we will receive 24 flags to display.
🎯 Our goal: $750 in donations to proudly honor the veterans of our school, families, and community.

❤️🤍💙Thank you for supporting our veterans!❤️🤍💙

Football Recap: Wells Piles Up the Points Against Owyhee
Football Recap: Wells Leopards vs. Owyhee Braves
By Team Reports
Sep 22, 2025, 2:47 pm

The third road matchup was the charm for Wells, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They blew past the Owyhee Braves, posting a 47-0 win. The Leopards have beaten the Braves the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Braves have come to flipping the script.

Leading Wells to victory were Gage Uhlig and Justice Nelson. Uhlig picked up 80 receiving yards and one score, while Nelson picked up 66 receiving yards and one TD. Uhlig's longest reception was for an incredible 80 yards.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Wells, adding 13 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Joe Dahl, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Wells picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Owyhee, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Wells will take on rival Eureka at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Volleyball Recap: Wells Leopards vs. Owyhee Braves
By Team Reports
Sep 18, 2025, 9:29pm
Wells suffered their biggest loss since October 26, 2024 on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to the Owyhee Braves. The Leopards have struggled against the Braves recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Wells was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-14, 25-15.

Wells' defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-10. As for Owyhee, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.

Volleyball Recap: Wells Takes a Loss
Volleyball Recap: Wells Leopards vs. Tintic Miners
By Team Reports
Sep 21, 2025, 12:22 pm

Wells was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tintic Miners. If the Leopards were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Miners when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Wells' defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Tintic, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wells will host Lund at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

Volleyball Recap: Wells Triumphs
Volleyball Recap: Wells Leopards vs. Wendover Wildcats
By Team Reports
Sep 22, 2025, 4:36 pm

Wells's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wendover Wildcats, sneaking past 2-1. The Leopards haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

In the two sets Wells was on fire: they won each by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-12, 25-12.

Wells picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 4-10. As for Wendover, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.

Wells wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Summit Academy on the 19th.
